Preview the New Carnival Celebration Cruise Ship
Carnival Celebration, the cutting-edge sister ship of Carnival Cruise Line's Mardi Gras, will enter the fleet in November 2022 and take part in the company's 50th anniversary celebrations. It is the second Excel-class ship built by Carnival, and as well as its sister ship, it will carry 6,500 guests, making it the largest ship in the fleet. The ship was given its name in honor of its namesake ship from 1987, the last of the three Holiday Class ships, which served in the Carnival fleet until 2008.
The Carnival Celebration will have six distinct sections with a variety of entertainment and leisure options, just like her sister ship, the Mardi Gras. Additionally, it will be the second ship in the world to have the BOLT roller coaster installed. The Bonsai Teppanyaki, RedFrog Tiki Bar, Family Feud Live, Havana Bar, Seuss at Sea, Playlist Productions, and other Carnival innovations will all be available on the Carnival Celebration.
The Golden Jubilee, a new lounge, will pay homage to Carnival's rich, 50-year maritime legacy with artifacts and design elements drawn from previous Carnival cruise ships over the years. Carnival has historically emphasized entertainment, and Carnival Celebration maintains this focus. Along with numerous new, as-yet-unannounced features, old favorites like Piano Bar 88, a popular fixture of any Carnival ship, and the Punchliner Comedy Club are back.
The favorite food selections from the line will be available on Carnival Celebration. Along with other well-known informal eateries including Blue Iguana Cantina, Guy's Burger Joint, Street Eats, and the Seafood Shack, the Lido Marketplace will serve up casual buffet-style meals. Expect to find Big Chicken, the line's newest smash restaurant created by NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal, Carnival's Chief Fun Officer. The two story main dining room will offer the choice of open seating or fixed time dining options every evening.
The 2,687 passenger cabins and suites on the Carnival Celebration will have different interior, exterior, and balcony designs. For those who prefer to have a view of the sea ahead, Carnival Celebration provides a wide selection of forward-facing balcony cabins, which are recessed into the ship's hull on its lower decks and offer a covered balcony experience. There are additional staterooms in all categories available in Family Harbor, Cloud 9 Spa, and Havana Cabana, each with its own unique design, features, and benefits. For those with mobility impairments, there will be 90 accessible cabins across all grades. Luxury suites will consist of 12 Excel Suites with aft views, 12 Corner Excel Suites, 6 Havana Cabana Suites, 6 Cloud 9 Spa Suites and 2 Excel Presidential suites.

Guests staying in Carnival Excel-level suites enjoy complimentary, unlimited access to Loft 19; however, they must still reserve and purchase a cabana – they will get priority cabana reservations! All other guests aboard the Mardi Gras will have the opportunity to experience Loft 19 by renting a cabana for the day or voyage once on board the ship.
