Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady Cruise Ship Overview
Scarlet Lady is Virgin Voyages' first ship, designed by Sir Richard Branson, the line's founder. The onboard amenities, cabins, and fun atmosphere are sure to make a splash in the cruise industry. Scarlet Lady (like all Virgin Voyages ships) is designed for adults only, so there are no children under the age of 18. With that in mind, there are no kids clubs, waterslides or family events, but instead you'll find more late night activities, bars and restaurants. At full capacity the ship can carry up to 2,770 total passengers and 1,150 crew members and sails mainly four-to-five-night Caribbean itineraries from Miami, Florida.
Dining
One of the highlights of a Virgin Voyages cruise is the food choices which are all included in the cruise fare and there are no buffet style dining areas (all the food is made to order). The Galley food hall where you can indulge in sushi, tacos, build your own salads, and enjoy breakfast no matter the time of day, Sun Club Café for poke bowls, Dinner & Dash a 24 hour diner, The Pizza Place, The Dock House for Mediterranean, The Test Kitchen for experimental fare, Gunbae for Korean barbecue, Razzle Dazzle specializing in vegetarian menus, Pink Agave for Mexican and the Wake for steak and seafood are among the 20 restaurants aboard the Scarlet Lady.
Activities and Entertainment
Scarlet Lady's amenities are a unique take on many of the activities and entertainment opportunities available on other cruise ships. Do you want to unwind? Get a seaweed wrap or a hot stone massage at the Redemption Spa. Wellness enthusiasts can participate in a variety of group exercise sessions like morning yoga, boxing classes, and HIIT cardio or jog along the onboard jogging track while taking in the seaside beauty. The Aquatic Club has a pool where you may relax and sip refreshments while cruising. Do you want to get some tattoos to commemorate your trip? Yes, at the Squid Ink onboard tattoo studio, you can do that as well.
Scarlet Lady's entertainment selections are incredibly immersive and cutting-edge. Shows created by world-renowned artists, producers, and directors are included in the programming. Do you want to have a good time and dance the night away? The Alluring Nightclub, which was inspired by Branson's first recording studio and features unique 70s decor and a punk attitude, is a must-see. You can also watch live entertainment in The Red Room, gamble in the Casino, or enjoy a game in the Arcade.
Cabins
There are 1,330 cabins on board, including 78 RockStar Suites. XL Sea Terrace, Sea Terrace, Sea View, Insider, and Social Insider are the six cabin classifications. The majority of the accommodations have views of the ocean, with 86 percent having balconies. The typical interior design will include automatic lighting, climate controls, an autonomous charging unit, 4K flat-screen 43in HDTVs, and minibars. The ship will also include a Walter Knoll-designed bed which can be switched into a sofa during the day.
