CRUISING TIPS & TRICKS

What to Pack on a Carnival Cruise

Jan 02, 2022

To assist you in planning, they recommend that you limit your luggage to one bag per person for cruises of 3-5 days and no more than two bags per person for cruises of 6 days or longer. In addition, any boarding papers (passports, Visas, I.D. ), valuables, medications, and objects that require special treatment must be carried on by you.

Each checked suit case and carry-on suit case should not weigh more than 50 pounds, and luggage should not be more than 16 inches tall by 24 inches broad when lying flat (the length of the bag is not a factor). All bags should be opened for security screening purposes. Delivery delays may occur if your luggage is too large or locked.

What to Put On: Casual attire is appropriate for the daytime. They have a 'Cruise Casual' dress code most evenings, but there are a few 'Cruise Exquisite' evenings scattered throughout the cruise where guests can show off their most elegant apparel.

What Should You Put in Your Carry-On Bag?

Because your checked luggage will arrive in your stateroom later on the day of departure, you should bring a small carry-on bag with the following items:

  • Travel documentation that is up to date (passport, Visas, I.D.)
  • Important documents (tickets, insurance information)
  • Wallet (just carry the essentials: cash, credit cards, and your driver's license)
  • Prescription drugs in their original packaging
  • a change of outfit
  • Toiletries for personal use (travel size or standard container sizes)
  • Any other information you'd like to have before your stuff arrives
